Delete your account & data

You have the right to delete your Vaksy account and all associated personal data at any time. This page explains what gets deleted, what is legally required to be retained, how to request deletion, and the timeline we commit to.

Deletion is irreversible. Once your account is deleted, your name, phone number, AI query history, documents, matters and all personal data cannot be recovered. Please download any documents you wish to keep before requesting deletion.

How to delete your account

  1. Open the Vaksy app
  2. Tap Me (bottom right tab)
  3. Scroll to the bottom
  4. Tap Delete account
  5. Confirm both prompts

  3. Include your registered mobile number
  4. We will verify and process within 72 hours

72-hour commitment. All deletion requests are processed within 72 hours of receipt. You will receive a confirmation SMS once complete.

What gets deleted

Data type On deletion
Name, mobile number DELETED - permanently removed and overwritten with anonymised placeholders
AI query history (Kanoon AI) DELETED - all chat history and prompts removed
Documents in Vault DELETED - cryptographically shredded; encryption keys destroyed
Matter content and notes DELETED - all facts, descriptions and uploaded content removed
Generated legal documents DELETED - all AI-generated drafts, complaints and notices removed
Payment history and invoices DELETED from Vaksy systems (RBI-regulated payment processors retain their own records per law)
Language and notification preferences DELETED
KYC reference data (last-4 Aadhaar/PAN) DELETED
Case tombstone record RETAINED (anonymised) - see below

What we are legally required to retain

After your account is deleted, we retain a minimal anonymised tombstone record for each matter you opened. This record contains no personal data: it consists only of an internal matter ID, the practice area (e.g., "consumer dispute"), the date opened, and the date closed or deleted.

This retention is required under:

Your name, phone number, matter content, documents and AI queries are not part of this tombstone record. They are deleted without exception.
