Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the Terms) form a binding agreement between Sharkify Technology Private Limited, operating under the brand Vaksy, with its registered office in Hyderabad, India (Vaksy, we, us), and you (the User). By creating an account or using vaksy.in or the Vaksy mobile app (together, the Platform), you accept these Terms.

These Terms are an electronic record within the meaning of the Information Technology Act, 2000, and are published in accordance with Rule 3(1) of the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. No physical or digital signature is required.

2. What Vaksy is and is not

Vaksy is not a law firm and does not practise law. The Platform is an intermediary that connects you with independent advocates empanelled with the Bar Council of India and with other professionals. Any engagement, advice or work product is provided by the advocate or professional directly, in their independent professional capacity, and is governed by their own retainer and the Bar Council of India Rules.

Vaksy provides software, AI assistance (Kanoon AI), matter management, secure storage and routing. Vaksy does not give legal advice and is not responsible for the professional advice, conduct or work product of advocates. Use of the Platform does not create an attorney-client relationship with Vaksy.

You agree not to use the Platform to:

We may suspend or terminate access, with or without notice, for material breach. We may also remove content that, in our reasonable view, violates these Terms or applicable law.

5. Engaging an advocate

When you accept an engagement, a separate contract is formed directly between you and the advocate. Vaksy is not a party to that contract. Fees, scope, deliverables and timelines are set by the advocate. Vaksy may facilitate payment, invoicing and document exchange as a convenience.

Advocates listed on the Platform represent that they hold a current Bar Council enrolment. Vaksy verifies enrolment at empanelment but does not warrant the outcome of any matter or the quality of professional services rendered.

The Platform is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. Subject to mandatory consumer rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, Vaksy disclaims implied warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Vaksy does not warrant uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or any specific legal outcome.

You agree to indemnify and hold Vaksy harmless from claims arising from your breach of these Terms, your unlawful use of the Platform, or your infringement of third-party rights.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to mandatory consumer rights, the courts at Hyderabad, Telangana have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms or the Platform. The parties shall first attempt to resolve disputes by good-faith negotiation through the Grievance Officer; failing which, parties may proceed to courts of competent jurisdiction at Hyderabad.

Acknowledgement within 48 hours; resolution within 15 calendar days as required by DPDP §13 and Rule 3(2)(a) of the IT Rules, 2021.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by in-app banner and email at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept the revised Terms, you may close your account before the effective date.
